Adam Cervera is a member of the Firm's Community Association Litigation Practice Group where he concentrates on all aspects of litigation involving community associations, homeowners associations and cooperatives. Mr. Cervera has significant experience with helping cash-strapped associations obtain “blanket receivers” to assist with all aspects of their collection needs and helping them return to financial stability.
Mr. Cervera also works with the Firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. This part of his practice includes all aspects of litigation in state and federal court focusing on a wide array of complex commercial litigation matters. His representative clients include financial lenders, investors, and corporations.
Prior to joining Becker & Poliakoff, Mr. Cervera clerked for the Honorable Judge Israel Reyes, Circuit Court Judge in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County.
Honors and Awards
During law school, Mr. Cervera was a three time Dean's List recipient and received three CALI book awards, which are given to the student who receives the highest grade in the course. With over three semesters worth of Clinical Experience working in various realms of the Miami-Dade court system, Mr. Cervera received the inaugural Excellence in Service to the Clinical Program Award in 2009. In addition, Mr. Cervera served on the F.I.U Law Review Editorial Board as an Articles Editor and served his fellows students for two years on the Student Bar Association.
